The MUBS Science Rally Competition 2018

In collaboration with researchers from the American University of Beirut (AUB), UC Berkeley (USA), St. Jude Hospital hospital, and Stratford University (USA),  the School of Health Sciences at the Modern University for Business and Science "MUBS" organized the Science Rally Competition.
This competition aims to motivate Lebanese Baccalaureate students from public and private schools across Lebanon to better understand, process, and explain the scientific phenomena that surrounds them.
Four students from grades 11 & 12 attended the science rally competition that took place on Friday, February 23rd, 2018 at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Beirut.
Rami Hafez (Grade 12), Jad Halawi (Grade 12), Omar Wehby (Grade 11), and Tala Khalife (Grade 11) sat for an online selection test earlier in February under the supervision of the Chemistry coordinator and teacher Ms. Lamis Adada, Biology coordinator and teacher Ms. Sahar Harake, and Physics teacher Ms. Baraa Yamout. HHS II was selected one of the top 18 schools to compete randomly across several rounds with the schools having the lowest scores being eliminated round after round on Friday, February 23rd, 2018.
Competing to answer "WH" questions in scientific phenomena from everyday life, HHS II students reached the final round and won the 3rd place award in the Science Rally competition, in addition to a cash prize.
Congratulations eminent HHS II students, Science coordinators and teachers.
