RHU National School Competitions 2018

HHS II, represented by students from Grades 11 & 12, participated in the Rafik Hariri National School Competitions 2018. Students participated in different competition fields: Public Speaking Contest, Essay Writing , and Sustainability Project Video competition. 

Accompanied by Middle & Secondary School English coordinator Ms. Amal Hamdar, English teachers Ms. Nisrine Awarke and Ms.Dima Hamandi, and the Extracurricular Activities Coordinator Ms. Dina Akkawi, students delivered speeches over two rounds, sat for essay writing, and prepared a sustainability video for an environmental project supervised by Chemistry Coordinator Ms. Lamis Adada. 

Public Speaking Participants were eleventh graders:

National School Essay Writing Participant was a twelfth grader:

 National School Sustainability Project participants were also twelfth graders:

  • Ahmad Shehade

  • Tarek Arabi 

HHS II won the 1st place Award for the National School Sustainability Project - Environment Video Competition with a 50% Scholarship for each of the four participants. 

Best Voice Clarity Award went to Ahmad Mneimneh within the Public Speaking Competition Awards.

Public Speaking contestants who participated in the second round on Thursday, March 22nd, 2018 will be granted a chance to participate in Mr. Zaven Kouyoumijian’s interview program “Bala Tool Sireh” March 30th, 2018 on Future TV.
