Special Education Program

Vision
      The Special Education Program at HHS II strives to raise and educate children/students with mild learning difficulties to develop independency to a certain extent. HHS II learners will be equipped with academic, social and behavioral skills and will be taught techniques and strategies that enable them to cope with their learning difficulties.
Mission
     The Special Education Program at HHS II is dedicated to offering differentiated instruction to children/students with mild learning difficulties through Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) that meet every student’s needs. The program offers modified curricula in English, Arabic, math and science, along with research-based strategies (3H, Fernald, Kerrigan’s,…), appropriate adaptations (classroom accommodations/ modifications), and corrective programs (Recipe for Reading, Process Phonics, etc…) to help students reach their potential.
